Qualifications

• 3+ years as Cameraman/Editor or similar hands-on digital video role.
• Strong camera, audio, and editing skills.
• Experience working with on-camera hosts, reporters, interviewers, or talent.
• Experience shooting interviews, red carpets, events, entertainment coverage, or man-on-the-street content.
• Strong understanding of social-first and short-form video storytelling.
• Ability to work independently as a one-person field crew.
• Comfortable shooting in fast-moving and unpredictable environments.
• Able to edit and deliver polished content on tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Available for evening and weekend assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work With On-Camera Hosts: Partner with Scale Content hosts in the field to capture interviews, segments, and social-first content.
• Shoot: Operate camera and capture high-quality, visually engaging footage in fast-paced environments.
• Audio: Record and monitor clean audio for the host, interview subjects, and other on-camera participants.
• Lighting: Handle simple, efficient lighting setups when required.
• Social-First Capture: Shoot with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital platforms in mind.
• B-Roll & Supporting Footage: Capture establishing shots, reactions, atmosphere, behind-the-scenes moments, and other footage needed to build the story.
• Vertical & Horizontal: Be comfortable shooting for both vertical and horizontal delivery depending on the assignment.
• Edit: Edit footage into polished, engaging social videos following Scale Content’s editorial direction and format.
• Fast Turnaround: Deliver completed edits quickly, including same-day or next-day turnaround when required.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Independently handle camera, audio, lighting, media, and other basic technical issues in the field.
