Job summary

Free People is seeking a Photo Studio Intern for the Summer to assist with daily studio setup, product sample prep, and collaboration on shoots at our Philadelphia home office. You will help with set up, inventory, and prep for retouching while learning current shooting processes.

This paid internship includes a hands-on project: a Fall 2027 campaign concept board submission, plus portfolio display. You will work with a creative team, gain exposure to senior leaders, and participate in a program

Qualifications

• Understanding of existing shooting processes for high volume production of all photography.
• Ability to operate a digital camera and other equipment (tripod stands, strobe lights, etc.).
• Proficient at operating MAC computer and Capture One.
• Detail oriented, creative thinker, passionate about photography, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication, time management, and prioritization skills.

Role Summary

Free People is looking for a Photo Studio Intern to join us for the Summer. Our photo studio intern will assist daily with the on-going, ever-changing excitement of our studios. Assisting with product sample preparation, shoot set up, collaboration and trend research.

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

1) Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position.

2) Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application.

3) Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis.

Project Requirement:

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role please submit a Free People Campaign Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred). Once you complete your project, please upload it, along with your portfolio, to the additional documents section in the application process.

• Create a concept board for a Fall 2027 Free People Product Campaign. Please include imagery you think best represents the Free People brand, including product and art direction inspiration.
• Pull tears of imagery from Streetwear, Pinterest, Social, runway, etc. to show your point of view.
• We are looking for forward thinkers showing future inspirational trends that move beyond where we are currently or wherewe have been, so show us fun trends we should have in our assortment!
