Job summary

Travelers Investigative Services in California seeks an SIU Investigator to analyze, summarize and prioritize information to uncover potentially fraudulent activity. The investigator will support a Claims Center and conduct thorough investigations in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

Ideal candidate must live or reside in LA county, Orange County or Riverside County. Two years of investigative experience or a minimum of three years insurance claim or underwriting or legal related experience is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years investigative experience or three years in insurance claim/underwriting/legal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working level knowledge of insurance and claim operations included.

Responsibilities

• Conducts insurance investigations including database searches with focus on uncovering fraudulent aspects of a claim.
• Analyzes, summarizes and prioritizes information for investigative strategies.
• Provides exceptional service by maintaining contact with partners and resources throughout investigations.
• Serves as subject matter expert on fraud to business and industry partners.
• Applies rules of evidence and federal/state guidelines in investigations.
• Identifies cases for potential insurance fraud prosecution and refers to NICB.
