Job summary

Travelers Investigative Services seeks an SIU Investigator to analyze and prioritize information, uncover potentially fraudulent activity, and support a claim center in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate resides in or near Sacramento.

The role focuses on conducting thorough investigations across all lines of business, applying evidence rules, and coordinating with law enforcement and partners to deter fraud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of investigative experience or at least three years in insurance claims, underwriting, or legal work.
• Ability to manage multiple investigations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and database searches to uncover potentially fraudulent aspects of a claim.
• Analyze and summarize technical information into actionable investigative strategies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining contact with partners and resources throughout investigations.
• Serve as subject-matter expert on fraud to business and industry partners.
• Apply rules of evidence and ensure investigations comply with applicable laws.
• Identify cases for potential fraud prosecution and report to NICB.
• Adapt to new technology and AI tool rollouts in investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
