Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Special Agent A in the Central Region to safeguard public programs by investigating fraud and ensuring proper eligibility determinations and overpayment recovery. The role involves field investigations, collecting information through interviews, and applying applicable laws while preparing reports for hearings and prosecutions.

Qualifications

• One year of investigative experience and a bachelor's degree.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Requirement to obtain CLEAN/NCIC certification within two months.
• Active PA driver's license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Case Investigation: Conduct field investigations, gather evidence, and review records to determine eligibility and overpayment issues.
• Interview Work: Interview applicants, recipients, and other sources to collect information related to assets, income, and residence.
• Regulation Application: Apply state and federal laws and regulations when reviewing cases and preparing findings.
• Legal Preparation: Prepare reports, criminal complaints, and related documents for hearings and court proceedings.
• Collaboration Duties: Work with law enforcement partners, participate in task forces, and support agency goals.
