Job summary

Veros Credit, LLC is seeking a Fraud Investigator / Loss Mitigation Analyst to identify, investigate, and resolve fraudulent activities in auto loan originations and servicing. You will work across a nationwide portfolio with internal teams and external agencies to reduce risk and losses.

The role requires a strong understanding of auto lending, dealer relationships, and asset recovery, plus experience with fraud typologies and investigative tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in auto finance, consumer lending, fraud investigations, or loss prevention.
• Experience in indirect auto lending and dealer fraud is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate dealer misconduct or collusion, including power booking, payment packing, fake down payments, and document tampering.
• Analyze auto loan applications, funding packages, and account activity for indicators of fraud.
• Conduct post-funding reviews and contract audits using internal and third-party data sources.
• Interview applicants, dealers, and internal staff to gather statements and verify facts.
• Prepare detailed fraud case reports, summaries, and recommendations for internal stakeholders and legal counsel.
• Maintain primary responsibility for analyzing and reviewing, and improving reports, to communicate findings to stakeholders.
