Job summary

Veros Credit is seeking an experienced Fraud Investigator / Loss Mitigation Analyst to identify, investigate, and resolve fraud across a nationwide auto loan portfolio. You will analyze applications, funding packages, and account activity to uncover fraud indicators and collaborate with internal teams and agencies to mitigate losses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of auto finance, consumer lending, fraud investigations, or loss prevention experience.
• Experience with indirect auto lending and dealer fraud is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for dealer fraud or misconduct allegations and determine next steps.
• Investigate dealer misconduct or collusion, including fake down payments and document tampering.
• Analyze auto loan applications, funding packages, and activity for fraud indicators.
• Conduct full reviews of dealer fraud claims and manage referrals and communications.
• Prepare detailed fraud case reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
