Job summary

ether.fi in Denver is seeking a strong engineer to join the credit card transaction team and help improve the transaction stack, authorization, declines, and risk systems. You will build proactive fraud rules, monitoring, and internal tools, working closely with Product, CX, and Compliance and with our fraud vendors.

You will own the fraud stack, run live investigations, query transaction data, and translate insights into effective controls that prevent repeats, while shipping reliable features

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional coding experience.
• Experience with fraud detection or risk systems.
• Comfortable querying data to drive decisions.
• Interest in adversarial problems and pattern detection.

Responsibilities

• Improve card transaction experience by reducing declines and friction.
• Own fraud stack rules, queues, scoring, and real-time monitoring.
• Build internal tools, dashboards, and scripts for risk and CX teams.
• Investigate live cases, query data, and translate findings into preventive rules.
