Job summary

HUMAN Security is seeking a Data Scientist to join the SightlineEnterprise Research and Detection team. You will tackle fraud detection end-to-end, from requirements to production deployment, and work across Product, Engineering, and Analysts to improve bot detection and ML infrastructure.

You’ll explore the latest detection frameworks, contribute to standardising DS practices, and collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment to deliver impactful security insights.

Qualifications

• Experience solving large-scale, data-intensive problems in production systems.
• Explain the nuances of different statistical modeling approaches and make informed decisions while having engineering awareness of shipping code to customers.
• Fluent with Python and SQL and familiar with related tools, libraries and platforms.
• Fluent in Object Oriented development and have strong debugging skills.
• Good ownership mindset and accountability for quality and accuracy of work.
• Experience working on cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and SDLC practices such as project management, version control, unit testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analysts to support business goals in improving bot detection and ML infrastructure.
• Research and experiment with latest detection frameworks in cybersecurity and fraud, statistical techniques, and ML tooling.
• Support growth of Data Science practices in detection and modeling.
• Review colleagues’ work before launching new detection rules/algorithms and participate in process like 'sheriffing' and tech-debt days to keep code healthy.
• Develop software tooling and automation to accelerate fraud detection and empower teammates.
