Job summary

Military, Veterans and Diverse Job Seekers seeks an experienced investigator to examine allegations of irregularities and fraud within District programs. You will interview witnesses, gather evidence, and prepare formal reports for potential referrals to prosecutors.

A bachelor's degree is required; a Certified Fraud Examiner certificate is preferred, with at least three years in law enforcement investigations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university; high school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Fraud Examiner certificate is preferable or highly desirable.
Three years of law enforcement experience conducting investigations or internal investigations of fraud, waste, and abuse in a public agency.

Responsibilities

Examines allegations of irregularities, fraud, collusion, conflicts of interest, and improprieties among District employees, contractors, or others in District programs.
Investigates violations of District policies, legislation, and regulations.
Secures facts and develops evidence to determine extent and nature of violations.
