Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Gig Harbor is seeking a Store Associate to build relationships with customers and offer custom framing solutions while helping shoppers locate items.

You will keep the store clean, stocked, and well merchandised, operate the register, and support framing orders and omni-channel processes. Prior retail experience and basic computer/measuring skills are preferred; lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
• ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
• retail experience preferred for customer interactions.
• experience selling products and/or services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the frame department and other areas (SISO/Directed Replenishment).
• Provide friendly customer service and help shoppers find products.
• Complete framing orders with quality and on time.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash to standards.
• Assist with Omni channel processes and store stocking.
