Job summary

84 Lumber Company seeks a Framing Manager to supervise independent subcontract framing crews on 84 Lumber projects. You will train, supervise, and direct framing installation teams, plan work, and coordinate materials, while ensuring safety and contract compliance.

Responsibilities include budgeting labor costs, inspecting daily work for quality and schedule, developing scopes of work, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to use word processing for routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience with Excel-based budgeting and scheduling.
• Solid use of Outlook for communication and scheduling.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling inquiries from customers and crews.
• Ability to read and comprehend documents, and write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of wood component systems, doors, windows, siding, shingles, insulation, drywall, and trim.
• Recruit independent subcontractors with proper licenses and insurance.
• Budget labor costs and develop job scopes with schedules.
• Conduct daily on-site inspections for quality and schedule compliance with blueprints/specs.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure contract documents are followed.
• Prepare daily reports, job diaries, and project documentation.
