Job summary

Clayton is seeking a skilled welder for the Frame Shop to weld frames for new homes. You will MIG weld, align and assemble components to exact specifications, and operate a plasma cutter for I-beam cutting as needed.

Attention to safety and quality is essential in a fast-paced plant environment. Ideal candidates will have MIG welding experience, the ability to read drawings, and a willingness to collaborate with production teams.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must communicate efficiently and clearly with other team members.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is greatly desired.

Responsibilities

• Weld frames in the Frame Shop using MIG welding.
• Stabilize and assemble frames to meet prints and specs.
• Operate plasma cutter for cutting I-beams as required.
• Ensure production meets quality standards and deadlines.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow OSHA regulations.
• Assist planning by communicating material shortages or tool needs.
