Job summary

Block Iron & Supply Company is seeking a skilled Welder for a full-time role, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. The position focuses on custom frame fabrication, welding, grinding, and finishing metal frames per work orders and templates.

You will prepare doors for hardware, light kits, and glass installation, with emphasis on quality and precision. The ideal candidate has 1-2 years MIG welding experience, can read tape measures and blueprints, and is able to lift up to 50 pounds (100 with

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-2 years MIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints accurately.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on hollow metal frame material and commercial hardware.
• Assemble hollow metal frames and commercial hardware per specifications.
• Operate tools and equipment for cutting, grinding, sanding and related fabrication processes.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and measurement tools accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety procedures.
• Perform various shop and warehouse tasks as needed.
