Job summary

Mans Lumber & Home, a long-standing family-owned company, invites applications for a Frame, Door, & Hardware Estimator. The role focuses on accurate takeoffs, detailed cost estimates, and timely quotes for commercial projects, coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Office-based with potential for occasional remote work. Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in the commercial door/hardware space, strong reading of plans, and proficiency in Blue Beam, Procore, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Commercial Door & Hardware Industry.
• Experience with inside sales; commercial hardware sales experience preferred.
• Experience estimating commercial Division 8 projects, including doors, frames, and hardware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents.
• DHT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to perform accurate job takeoffs.
• Prepare detailed estimates and assign appropriate product costs and selling prices.
• Deliver complete and accurate quotes for small and medium projects within established timelines.
• Assist in preparing detailed submittals for awarded projects.
• Analyze project requirements and identify key variables impacting costs and execution.
• Utilize software tools for estimating analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Support customers and the sales team by identifying and resolving project challenges.
• Estimate Division 8 commercial projects, including doors, frames, and hardware.
• Resolve discrepancies between blueprints and specifications.
• Detail awarded projects to ensure a smooth transition to project execution.
