Job summary

Kranz Consulting, a leader in financial consulting for startups and growth firms, seeks a Senior Accountant in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role combines in-house accounting work within client environments, collaborating closely with senior management and firm leadership.

The candidate will handle AP, payroll, cash/margin reporting, AR and month-end close, with emphasis on accuracy, process discipline and cross-functional communication. Prior consulting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in consulting or professional services.
• Proficiency with common accounting software and cloud platforms.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: process invoices, PO matching, approvals, entry and 1099s.
• Payroll: prepare and process client payrolls and journal entries.
• Cash Management: forecast cash, reconcile accounts, and routing of payments.
• Accounts Receivable: manage collections and weekly cash reports.
• Maintain month-end reconciliations and assist with tax support for sales/use, franchise and property taxes.
• Support finance team with ad hoc tasks and client-specific requirements.
