Job summary

Arootah is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer, Investments to consult for our prestigious hedge fund and family office clients. You will apply hands-on risk leadership to build, maintain and oversee investment and portfolio risk efforts across diverse strategies.

As part of the advisory network, you will provide realistic risk frameworks, measure performance via KPIs, and advise on stress testing, VaR and liquidity risk, while collaborating with senior portfolio managers to optimize

Qualifications

BS/BA in a quantitative field from an accredited university.
CFA/FRM or similar designation preferred.
8+ years in risk management at hedge funds/family offices/investment firms.
3–5 years in risk management, trading, portfolio management or data science in asset management.
Familiarity with risk tools like BarraOne/Aladdin/FactSet.
Strong quantitative skills; SQL/Access experience.
Knowledge of VaR, stress testing and liquidity risk.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance on investment and portfolio risk for Hedge Funds and Family Offices.
Develop and maintain risk framework tools and models.
Perform market and credit risk reporting, including VaR and stress loss.
Create periodic risk reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and risk-related research.
