Job summary

NexTier is seeking Field Engineer I & II to support frac operations from Odessa, Pearsall, and Marshall, TX. Responsibilities include setting up data acquisition software in the data van to record and transmit stage parameters to the Performance Center before starting a stage.

Coordinate with district supply chain, monitor pump parameters, assist with new tech rollouts, and address customer questions. Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, English proficiency, valid driver’s license, and 9+

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
• Able to understand and speak English sufficiently to follow safety and operations directions.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and be eligible to drive Company vehicles.
• Minimum nine months of field engineering experience in oil and gas (prefer hydraulic fracturing).
• Engineering Training or equivalent completed.

Responsibilities

• Setup stream-out and data acquisition software in the data van to record and transmit each stage’s parameters to the Performance Center before starting a stage.
• Coordinate with district supply chain and vendors to ensure timely delivery of orders during the job.
• Monitor pump parameters, treating pressure, and rate; communicate issues to supervisor and customer.
• Assist with rollout and implementation of new technology and continuous improvement projects.
• Address technical questions from customers related to reservoirs, fluid systems or software.
• Be knowledgeable on equipment operations, limitations, and components.
• Assist maintenance and engineering with root cause analysis.
• Assist with data van rigging and maintain cleanliness; assist field operations with rig-up/down as needed.
• Promote HSE values and follow NexTier safety policies and SOPs.
