Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Dover, New Jersey is seeking a FPI Inspector for the midnight shift (Sunday night through Thursday night, 10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.).

The role inspects investment-cast turbine airfoils and related components using penetrant and black light to identify surface defects. Training on day shift is provided. Salary anticipated at $28.00–$31.00 per hour with a shift premium off-shift; comprehensive benefits including paid vacation, holidays, 401(k) with company match, and

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass Level 1 and Level 2 exam.

Responsibilities

• Inspect castings using penetrant inspection and black light to detect surface defects.
• Maintain clean, orderly and safe work area and equipment.
• Mark failures and categorize castings into acceptable, rework or scrap.
• Highlight abnormal indications to supervision and assist with dispatching.
