Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an FPI Inspector for Dover, NJ to inspect castings for defects using penetrant methods and a black light booth. The role requires clear English communication and the ability to work a night/afternoon shift on Sundays through Thursdays.

Starting pay is $21.58 per hour, with increases after 12 months to $23.92, plus shift premiums as applicable. Comprehensive benefits accompany the competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Inspects castings for defects using penetrant and a black light booth.
• Communicates in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspects castings under black and white light in accordance with predetermined standards for detecting surface defects.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Marks failures and separates castings into acceptable, failure, and rework categories.
• Highlights abnormal indications to supervision.
• Assists with dispatching when required.
• Completes paperwork as assigned by supervisor or job standards.
