Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a FPI Inspector for our Dover, NJ casting operation. The position operates on the Afternoon Shift, Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 06:30 AM, with starting hourly rate of $21.58 and potential to move to $23.92 after 12 months.

The inspector will analyze castings for defects using penetrant and black light inspection, and will receive a shift premium for off-shift hours; comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• This position requires the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including night and weekends with little advanced notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspects castings under black and white light in accordance with predetermined standards for purposes of detecting surface defects;
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe condition;
• Marks failures and separates castings into acceptable, failure, and rework categories;
• Highlights abnormal indications to supervision;
• Assists with dispatching when required;
• Complete paperwork as assigned by supervisor or job standards.
