Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) seeks a hardware-software co-design engineer to architect and develop FPGA-based acceleration solutions.

You will design high-performance hardware engines and embedded software to orchestrate them, enabling next-generation compute platforms across networking, storage, automotive, and AI workloads. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to implement features, verify designs, and validate prototypes in lab and simulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA design and verification.
• Strong SystemVerilog/Verilog expertise for high-speed logic.
• Knowledge of PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, and related interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of product development from architecture to validation and documentation for IPs.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to design new features.
• RTL Development: design, verify, and validate high-performance logic for PCIe (Gen 6/7), CXL, UAL, Ethernet, DDR5/6.
• Embedded System Development: firmware and low-level software for ARM Cortex or RISC‑V cores, IPC, DMA, secure boot.
• System Level Integration: use Vivado/Vitis to integrate IP with NoC and memory subsystems.
• Pre-Si Verification: perform pre-silicon verification and emulation.
• Post-Si Validation: lead Bring-up and debug complex interactions between software, IPs, and FPGA fabric.
