Job summary

Triumph Engine Control Systems in West Hartford, CT is seeking a FPGA/PLD Electronics Design Engineer to design and validate complex hardware. You will work with internal teams to develop ASIC/PLD/FPGA solutions powering engine control systems. Proficiency in Mentor DxDesigner, PADs and Hyperlynx is required.

The role requires 3+ years of FPGA/PLD experience, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE preferred), and strong problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required; MSEE preferred.
  • 3+ years FPGA/PLD design experience; aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Strong FPGA/PLD digital circuit design focus; analog interfacing knowledge helpful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team leads to plan and execute projects.
  • Ensure teams have product and technical requirements, direction, and resources.
  • Establish realistic task estimates to meet deliverables.
  • Perform requirements development, allocation, and compliance assessments.
  • Generate block diagrams for PLD/FPGA and digital design concepts.
