Arrow Electronics is hiring a Field Applications Engineer in Peabody, MA, to assist customers in selecting and designing in FPGA solutions. You will partner with sales teams, understand system and component-level design requirements, and provide hands-on technical guidance in FPGA deployment.

The role demands strong FPGA design experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to train and support sales teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electronic design experience with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
• Must have experience designing with FPGAs (HDL, simulation, verification); should know how to instantiate IP into FPGAs and generate a design.
• Skilled in FPGA system test, validation, and debugging methods (Signal tap, Chip scope, etc.).
• Understand high-speed digital circuits and board design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Sales experience is beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Arrow sales teams in local branches across your assigned territory in pre- and post-sales activities.
• Provide technical support and consulting to promote demand creation.
• Work with customers to develop an understanding of their design requirements at both system and component levels.
• Attend supplier trainings and demonstrate strengths/weaknesses of supplier technologies.
• Provide training to Arrow sales teams on new products and help market these products to customers.
• Manage supplier and customer relationships and keep stakeholders updated on activities and progress.
• Manage top opportunities and the opportunity funnel in the assigned region.
• Plan and participate in branch meetings and quarterly business reviews.
