Job summary

RTX in McKinney, Texas is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a 15–20 engineer FPGA/ASIC section. The role emphasizes design/verification leadership, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration. U.S.

citizenship and DoD Secret clearance are required, with on-site work in McKinney. The section will split time between hands-on FPGA work and functional leadership, driving budgets, schedules, and staffing while coordinating with program management and senior engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in FPGA/ASIC design or verification.
• Hands-on lab debugging with FPGA/ASIC devices.
• Knowledge of timing closure, clock/domain crossing, constraint development.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle support of FPGA designs for major vendors.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and architect FPGA-based systems.
• Lead small teams of FPGA engineers and provide mentorship.
• Lead internal and external design reviews and ensure documentation completeness.
• Support customer interactions and contribute to product roadmaps.
