Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an FPGA Engineer - P3 in Tucson, AZ to develop and verify FPGA designs for major vendors and device families, including Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi. The role focuses on VHDL-based development for RF, EO DSP, controls, data links, and embedded interfaces, with heavy collaboration across disciplines.

Active Secret Clearance is required to start. This is a 12-month contract position with a pay range of $81-91 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in digital FPGA design using VHDL.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.
• Experience delivering FPGA solutions to system-level applications.
• Hands-on integration and debugging experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify FPGA designs for Xilinx, Altera, and Microsemi.
• Implement designs in VHDL for RF, EO DSP, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with circuit-card designers and systems engineers on requirements and architecture.
• Verify designs from requirements through integration and test.
