Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Electrical Hardware Development Engineer to drive the development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware in our Northern Virginia lab. You will own complex PCB designs with FPGA SoCs, collaborate across hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams, and ensure robust validation and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging.
• Master's degree in electrical engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCs.
• Support system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers.
• Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits.
• Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements.
• Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements.
• Participate in design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams.
