Join AWS as an Electrical Hardware Development Engineer to support the development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware. Drive innovation in complex PCBA designs utilizing state-of-the-art FPGA SoCs, working with world-class engineers in our dedicated product development lab. Within Bespoke Solutions, the Refactor hardware development team empowers Region Services teams by eliminating reliance on external vendor constraints. We aim to be the trusted partner of choice for our service teams, delivering comprehensive product life-cycle support that enables them to scale at the pace of customer demand. For teams choosing to develop hardware internally, we provide access to our library of validated designs and proven processes to accelerate their development timelines.

This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. This position requires that the candidate selected must be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Secret security clearance. A day in the life

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software, and FPGA engineers in our dedicated product development lab. Your responsibilities will span supporting innovative hardware solutions, conducting PCB design reviews, troubleshooting prototypes, and providing technical influence to team members. You’ll establish strong partnerships with product managers to define technical requirements, collaborate with FPGA engineers to refine hardware interfaces, and work alongside manufacturing teams to ensure successful production scaling.
