Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in EE, CE, ECE, Materials or related field or graduated within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare component drawings and specs for complex electro-optical or electro-mechanical products.
• Support procurement of parts, interface with labs to interpret test results and ensure compliance.
• Communicate status with engineers, management and customers on technical issues.
• Present analysis results to engineers and customers for clear interpretation.
• Act as technical consultant and review supplier data and test results for conformance.
• Follow established procedures and guidance from senior staff.
• Design, analyze and test FPGA hardware for Digital Engineering.
• Create circuit card assemblies for avionics and space subsystems.
• Apply VHDL and digital communications knowledge to designs.
• Design modem components including SATCOM and SDR concepts; signal processing.
• DSP design with algorithms, coding and MATLAB modeling.
• Microelectronics: packaging and MEMS; select components; perform system analysis.
• RF/Microwave testing and characterization; use ADS, HFSS, CST, MATLAB.
• Determine design approaches and analyze electrical requirements for feasibility.
• Design and evaluate optical communications systems and RF photonics.
• Design and evaluate antenna systems; use HFSS, CST, MATLAB, GRASP.
• Verify hardware via tests; use network analyzers and LabVIEW.
• Develop optical budgets, tolerances and metrology during alignment.
