Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an FPGA design Engineer to join the Advanced RF Systems team. The role focuses on developing and fielding communications and electronic warfare systems with HDL-based FPGA designs.

The candidate will design RTL, write testbenches, and troubleshoot firmware using Verilog and VHDL in a multidisciplinary environment with travel and onsite work requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain DOE Q and SCI clearance (polygraph possible).
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize RTL for high-performance FPGAs.
• Create and modify FPGA designs and write testbenches.
• Design embedded electronic subsystems and test PWAs in lab.
• Troubleshoot firmware with simulation tools and support customers.
