Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early Career R&D Embedded Firmware & Hardware Engineer to design, test, and deploy firmware for advanced hardware systems on site in New Mexico.

Ideal candidates have a background in firmware development, HDL, C/C++, Python, and experience with FPGAs/SoCs, debugging tools, and version control. Applicants must be able to obtain a DOE Q clearance and relocate as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.
• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and deploy embedded firmware for diverse hardware.
• Develop and test interfaces and protocols for embedded systems.
• Create hardware debugging strategies and verify with tools.
• Work with FPGAs, SoCs and embedded processors on complex designs.
