Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer in Owego, NY for a 12-month contract. The role focuses on ASIC & FPGA development, DSP, high-speed digital design, and SOC implementations on FPGA platforms, with collaboration across systems and ASIC teams.

You will also develop scripts to streamline FPGA workflows and mentor junior engineers while ensuring rigorous verification and testing of complex, high-speed products.

Qualifications

• Experience with FPGA design tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Synopsys Synplify).
• Proficient in SystemVerilog.
• Proficiency with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.
• Familiarity with HIL test setups and test equipment (JTAG, logic analyzers).
• Experience with version control systems and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, verify, integrate and test high-speed FPGA products.
• Develop DSP, high-speed digital design and SOC on FPGA platforms.
• Collaborate with Systems Architects, RF/Analog & Digital Designers and ASIC/FPGA engineers.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and drive FPGA development scripts.
