Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Senior FP&A Manager to lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning across the organization. You will mentor a high-performing FP&A team, build financial models, and translate complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership.

The role blends strategic analysis with hands-on planning and will leverage AI to reimagine FP&A workflows, reporting, and data integrity while partnering with CEOs, CFOs, and department heads.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of progressive finance experience with strong analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and Excel skills; strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead and mentor FP&A team delivering financial support and insights.
• Own end-to-end planning: budgeting, long-range planning, rolling forecasts across multiple units.
• Champion FP&A best practices, drive process improvements in forecasting and reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial/capacity models for investments and cost centers.
• Prepare monthly financial packages, variance analyses, and executive dashboards.
