What you’d be doing in this role

This unique role involves both operational and strategic project work.

Operational responsibilities include ownership of topline forecast models, updates and analysis of revenue metrics, and supporting the creation of robust forecasting processes. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners and revenue teams to understand KPIs, drivers, and strategic initiatives, providing actionable insights.

Strategic project work involves developing and evolving operating models to evaluate strategic options, new initiatives, and tracking operational metrics. You’ll leverage your strategic thinking and modelling experience, working on one major project at a time along with smaller ad hoc projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that will evolve over time as Canva scales and changes.

Currently, this role focuses on:

• Building modelling and strategic thinking skills to address complex business problems.
• Collaborating with Finance and revenue teams to understand performance metrics and optimize models.
• Providing forecasts for profitability analysis and operational insights.
• Monitoring metrics to identify risks to growth and revenue.
• Updating forecasts monthly based on latest data, collaborating across teams for accuracy.
• Learning about market and industry trends to inform revenue forecasting.
• Working with the FP&A team to elevate financial practices across Canva.
