Job summary

The University of Minnesota seeks a temporary, part-time Financial Planning and Analysis Program Lead to design and align a non-credit certificate program with industry needs. The role involves guiding curriculum, program outcomes, and course descriptions, and advising course developers and instructors.

Initially appointed for 4 months at 0.08 FTE with compensation of $2,050, the appointment may extend to an annual 0.05 FTE with $4,200/year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Four years of work experience related to the subject matter.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Deep knowledge of the program subject matter.
  • Ability to explain concepts in ways that help others learn.
  • Ability to provide feedback that helps learners develop knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Master's degree and at least six years of related work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and adult learning principles.
  • Ability to evaluate assessments to determine achievement of course learning outcomes.
  • Experience teaching adult learners in live and asynchronous contexts.
  • Experience developing or teaching topics related to financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience developing or revising adult education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update program description.
  • Create and update clear, measurable program outcomes.
  • Create and update a list of required and/or elective courses in the program.
  • Write course descriptions and outcomes aligned with program outcomes.
  • Annually review and revise the program-level curriculum and related course outcomes.
  • Collaborate with instructors to implement learner feedback and industry changes.
  • Follow the course development handbook.
