Job description

FP&A Manager

Take ownership of financial planning and analysis at a growing SaaS company, helping executive leadership and the board make informed, data-driven strategic decisions. In this high-visibility role, you will lead financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting while providing a clear picture of business performance and future growth opportunities. You will oversee recurring revenue models, cash flow projections, and annual operating plans, translating complex financial data into actionable insights. Working closely with finance, accounting, and revenue operations teams, you will strengthen data accuracy and establish consistent, investor-ready reporting standards. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives, including scenario planning, mergers and acquisitions, and operational efficiency improvements. This fully remote opportunity offers competitive compensation, meaningful ownership, and the chance to influence financial strategy in a dynamic technology environment.

Accountabilities
  • Financial modeling and cash flow management: Build and maintain Cash EBITDA and free cash flow models, delivering accurate monthly actuals, forecasts, variance analyses, and cash flow bridges to support financial planning and decision-making.
  • Recurring revenue analysis: Own the end-to-end annual recurring revenue (ARR) model, including new business, expansion, contraction, churn, renewals, retention forecasting, gross and net revenue retention, and cohort analysis.
  • SaaS performance metrics: Monitor and analyze key software-as-a-service (SaaS) metrics, including customer acquisition cost (CAC) payback, lifetime value-to-CAC ratio (LTV:CAC), gross margin, and the Rule of 40.
  • Financial planning and forecasting: Lead the Annual Operating Plan and recurring forecasting cycles, consolidate departmental budgets, challenge assumptions, and produce comprehensive company-level financial projections.
  • Data reconciliation and integrity: Reconcile ARR and bookings data from Salesforce with general ledger records and recognized revenue, partnering with Accounting and Revenue Operations (RevOps) to investigate and resolve discrepancies at their source.
  • Management reporting: Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reports comparing actual performance against forecasts and plans, providing clear commentary on key business drivers, variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Executive and board support: Prepare financial analyses, presentations, and board materials that communicate business performance, financial outlook, and strategic recommendations effectively.
  • Reporting standardization: Develop and maintain a consistent, repeatable monthly reporting package, documenting financial metrics, definitions, methodologies, and assumptions to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Process improvement and automation: Simplify and automate financial planning models, reporting workflows, and analytical processes to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and accelerate insights.
  • Strategic financial analysis: Support business initiatives through ad hoc financial analysis, scenario modeling, and the preparation of supporting schedules for external advisors.
  • Mergers and acquisitions: Contribute to M&A activities through financial due diligence, integration modeling, synergy tracking, and return-on-investment analysis.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, Accounting, RevOps, and other stakeholders to align financial information with operational performance and strategic priorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional experience: At least five years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, or Big Four audit or transaction advisory, including at least two years working within a SaaS or technology company.
  • SaaS financial expertise: Strong understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue dynamics, ARR reporting, retention metrics, customer economics, and subscription-based revenue forecasting.
  • Financial modeling: Advanced Excel proficiency, including experience building three-statement financial models, driver-based forecasts, cash flow models, and scenario analyses.
  • Planning and forecasting: Demonstrated ability to lead annual operating plans, manage recurring forecast cycles, consolidate departmental budgets, and evaluate business performance against financial targets.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills: Strong financial analysis capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify performance trends, assess business risks, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Data accuracy and controls: Exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record of producing reliable, transparent, and audit-ready financial information.
  • Reporting and communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial results and explain complex financial concepts to executives and board-level stakeholders.

  • Adaptability and ownership: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with changing priorities, tight deadlines, and significant executive visibility. Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to support business planning, scenario analysis, strategic initiatives, and M&A-related financial assessments.
