Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Machines FP&A lead to own financial planning for the chips and accelerators that run our models. You will manage hardware forecast, budgeting, and be the primary finance contact for machines into Accounting and consolidated FP&A, collaborating daily with Compute, Capacity Planning, and the paper team.

You will partner with Engineering and business teams, drive end-to-end forecasting, and contribute to multi-year financial plans and reporting that keep leadership well

Qualifications

• Forecasting or budgeting end-to-end in hardware/semiconductor/infrastructure-heavy environments.
• Strong driver-based modeling and budget-versus-actual/variance discipline.
• Comfort partnering with engineering and commercial teams under deal timelines.
• Passion for Anthropic's mission to build safe, transformative AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardware forecast: delivery volumes, lease and financing expense, and cash flows.
• Run budget vs. actuals for machine spend and track cost movements.
• Be the single point of contact for machines in forecast and close cycles with Accounting and FP&A.
• Coordinate forecast inputs with Capacity Planning and the Compute deal team.
• Track spend and cash-flow phasing against multi-year hardware commitments.
• Partner with Accounting on lease treatment and related agreements.
• Support chip and accelerator economics analyses led by the Machines finance team.
• Build reporting to keep leadership's machine spend picture current.
