Job summary

Proven Recruiting seeks a Senior Finance Analyst (FP&A) in Southfield, MI. You will partner with operational leaders, prepare financial reports, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive decisions.

You’ll own journal entries, support SOX controls, and present insights to non-finance audiences while aiming for internal leadership opportunities. This is a high-visibility role with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3+ years of finance or accounting experience.
• Experience with FP&A, financial reporting, journal entries, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and accrual/cash-basis accounting.
• Strong Excel skills with ability to analyze data and communicate financial insights.
• Confident communicator who can present to stakeholders and explain complex financial concepts to non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain financial records, and support client financial reporting packages.
• Analyze financial results, KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and variances; identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with operational leaders to explain performance and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, reporting processes, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education. The expected range for this role is $100,000-$135,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
