Job summary

Veracity, a leading insurance company in Utah, is seeking a motivated Junior Financial Analyst Intern - PT to support the FP&A team with forecasting, data analysis, and reporting. This hands-on internship offers exposure to corporate finance in a fast-paced environment and helps develop practical skills across planning and analysis.

You will work cross-functionally on data collection, modeling, and presentations for leadership, while building Excel-based models and learning finance concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or in progress).
• 0–2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or analytics (internship acceptable).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data to support planning and forecasting activities.
• Support financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Perform project-based financial analysis, including ROI and cost analyses.
• Analyze variances and identify trends across financial data and reports.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for leadership review.
• Support scenario modeling and strategic planning initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and profitability.
• Maintain and update financial data, models, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and data-driven decisions.
