Job summary

Echo Global Logistics, Inc is seeking a Finance Intern to work closely with the Finance Manager and provide analysis to managers, department heads, and executives across the organization.

The intern will assist with forecasting, reporting, and distributing financial reports, and will develop knowledge of Echo’s business units while gaining exposure to various Finance team projects. The internship offers hands-on experience and potential for full-time employment in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience manipulating, interpreting, and presenting data.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing results of financials by business unit and underlying performance metrics.
• Collaborate with departments to allocate monthly expenses for the close process.
• Iterate a quarterly forecast and compare actual vs forecasted results by business unit.
• Analyze large quantities of data and summarize what the data is telling us.
