Job summary

Echo Global Logistics is offering a 10-week paid Accounting Internship in Chicago, designed to develop financial analysis and reporting skills. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and gain exposure to multiple business units and leadership.

As an intern, you will help gather financial information, forecast, and distribute reports, while shadowing professionals and potentially transition to full-time opportunities. Hybrid work is available and strong collaboration is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be able to start May 24th, 2027 and complete the entire 10 week program.
• Currently enrolled at a university as a rising senior, with at least one semester remaining after completion of internship.
• Able to work in our Chicago office 3 days and hybrid 2 days a week.
• 3.5 GPA requirement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Accounting team on a capstone project.
• Research and assist with requests related to Accounting projects.
• Assist with analysis, reporting, statements, and other accounting/financial tasks.

The Accounting Intern will work closely with an Accounting Manager . This will be a key role that will add value across our entire organization. The position of Accounting Intern will involve helping gathering financial information and providing analysis and guidance to managers, department heads, and executives across the organization, in order to assist them in weighing the financial impact of certain business decisions. The role will assist the Manager of Accounting Planning in forecasting, reporting, and distributing financial reports to all departments within Echo.

The intern will develop a knowledge of all of Echo's business units, and the customers and sales reps that make these up. This position will also have insight to various projects and roles the compose the Echo Accounting team.
