Job summary

Echo Global Logistics, Inc is seeking a Finance Intern to work closely with the Finance Manager and provide analysis to managers, department heads, and executives across the organization.

The intern will assist with forecasting, reporting, and distributing financial reports, and will develop knowledge of Echo’s business units while gaining exposure to various Finance team projects. The internship offers hands-on experience and potential for full-time employment in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Overall minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Experience manipulating, interpreting, and presenting data.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing results of financials by business unit and underlying performance metrics.
• Collaborate with departments to allocate monthly expenses for the close process.
• Iterate a quarterly forecast and compare actual vs forecasted results by business unit.
• Analyze large quantities of data and summarize what the data is telling us.

You will be on the road to success as an Echo Trailblazer! The Finance Intern will work closely with a Finance Manager. This will be a key role that will add value across our entire organization. The position of Financial Intern will involve helping gathering financial information and providing analysis and guidance to managers, department heads, and executives across the organization, in order to assist them in weighing the financial impact of certain business decisions. The role will assist the Manager of Financial Planning in forecasting, reporting, and distributing financial reports to all departments within Echo. The intern will develop a knowledge of all of Echo’s business units, and the customers and sales reps that make these up. This position will also have insight to various projects and roles the compose the Echo Finance team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting
