Job summary

POET is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Intern for Summer 2027 in Sioux Falls, SD. The role requires a strong business sense and the ability to work with management on multiple projects to drive performance.

You'll design, develop and deliver high-quality analyses and reports using SQL and Microsoft tools with a data visualization layer, plus support annual planning and rolling forecasts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Power BI is preferred.
• Ability to learn new programs quickly.

Responsibilities

• Using financial and operational data to identify key drivers and trends.
• Designing reports or visualizations based on requirements from management and sponsors.
• Assisting in preparation of annual plan and quarterly forecasts.
• Developing reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate results.
