Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a finance intern to support the finance team with templates, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will work on templates, assist monthly and quarterly reports, and help develop dashboards.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or economics, with strong Excel skills and an interest in Power BI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in financial modeling.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint and financial modeling is a plus.
Knowledge of Power BI, Power Pivot, or other analytical tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Creating and updating templates.
Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analyses.
Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Help develop dashboards and financial models using Excel or BI tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights.
