Job summary

Simon-Kucher & Partners in North America is seeking a motivated Financial Planning & Analysis intern to join the Finance team in a full-time internship. You will support financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis across Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and New York, with hybrid office attendance 1–2x per week.

The role focuses on developing analytical, reporting, and communication skills while collaborating with finance and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Ability to intern full-time for 3-6 months.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to go into the office 1-2x/week.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of recurring financial reports and KPI dashboards.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and performance drivers.
• Assist in creating presentations for management reporting.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
• Assist with sales pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting.
• Support project profitability analysis and resource utilization reporting.
• Assist in monitoring project financial performance and identifying variances.
• Help prepare financial analyses for project reviews.
• Prepare data for management meetings and leadership presentations.
• Maintain financial databases and reporting files.
• Collaborate with finance team members on cross-functional projects.
• Support ad hoc requests from finance and business leadership.
