Job summary

Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. in Pasadena seeks a Financial Analyst to support Corporate Finance forecasting and reporting. You will work on corporate projections, lease data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration with Accounting and Regional Asset Managers.

The role emphasizes Excel modeling, accuracy, and clear communication. Public accounting and real estate experience are valued, with advanced Excel, Argus, and JD Edwards fluency a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Public accounting experience highly preferred.
• Understanding of lease accounting is highly preferred.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Real estate experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• Experience with Argus and/or Yardi is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review executed and draft leases to interpret leasing terms and update Argus assumptions.
• Prepare and distribute leasing call notes.
• Process leasing assumption changes in Argus.
• Roll up projection data from Argus into the corporate projection model.
• Upload projection data into JD Edwards and perform related fluctuation analyses.
• Prepare financial analyses and significant lease assumption analyses.
• Analyze and forecast key guidance and financial metrics.
• Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including schedules.
• Perform property-level and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Conduct accounting and/or peer research as needed.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams including Accounting and Regional Asset Managers.
• Support various special projects for the Corporate Finance team.
