First Place for Youth seeks a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for a ~ $30M portfolio across contracts and funding sources. You will partner with the CFO, own monthly reporting accuracy, and guide system selection/integration with Sage Intacct.

The role is hands-on, requiring contract-level budgeting, variance briefing to the CFO, and collaboration with Programs and National Expansion teams. Oakland-based, full-time.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; 4+ years of experience.
• Alternative: no degree with 7+ years of related experience.
• Progressive FP&A experience: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis.
• 5+ years in managerial roles leading teams.
• Experience managing contract or grant budgets and amendments.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting/planning systems and implementations.
• Advanced Excel; strong MS Office skills.
• Prior program budget management experience required.
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend work.
• 30+% time flexibility may be required for travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the annual organization-wide budget process and mid-year forecasts with the CFO.
• Build/maintain financial models for long-range planning and Board presentations.
• Monitor monthly performance vs. budget and flag risks to CFO.
• Develop dashboards translating financial data for executives.
• Partner with Programs, Development, and National Expansion teams on budgets.
• Own contract and grant budgets; monitor and optimize expenditures.
• Support grant budgets and financial narratives for solicitations.
• Review monthly/quarterly reports with Controller to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in selecting and implementing a new budgeting/FP&A system.
• Integrate budgeting tools with the general ledger (Sage Intacct).
