Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate to support the FP&A team and lead Management Reporting for the Americas region.

You will collaborate with multiple finance partners, ensuring data aligns with local and Japan head office requirements and regulatory standards. You will analyze revenues and expenses, prepare timely reports, and participate in cross-functional projects to improve budgeting and forecasting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA/CFA preferred.
• 3+ years in financial/bank services with budgeting, cost allocation and large data sets.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP tools such as Hyperion and OneStream.
• Strong understanding of banking products, revenue and expense relationships.
• Knowledge of organization hierarchies and multi-dimension income statements.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; attention to detail.
• Automation/Business Analytics experience with Python/SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentations and reports for senior management monthly/annually, including financial analytics and ad hoc reviews.
• Maintain data reporting standards and integrity across Markets and Corporate functions.
• Develop detailed budget vs actual variance reports to drive decision-making.
• Enhance reporting and budgeting processes; respond to Japan HO requests.
• Liaise with Finance leads back and front office to identify trends in revenues, expenses and KPIs.
• Monitor monthly allocations and inter-entity reconciliations.
• Assist in cross-functional projects like revenue forecasting and productivity initiatives.
