Job summary

Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate for the FP&A team to support Management Reporting for the Americas region. The role emphasizes accuracy, cross-functional collaboration, and alignment with data requirements from both local offices and Japan.

A background in banking and multi-entity reporting is preferred. The successful candidate will analyze revenues and expenses, prepare monthly and annual reports, and contribute to budgeting processes while leveraging Hyperion/OneStream

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or business majors required.
• 3+ years in financial/bank services with budgeting, cost allocation, and large datasets.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP tools (Hyperion, OneStream).
• Strong understanding of banking products and income/expense relationships.
• Knowledge of organization hierarchies and multi-dimensional reporting.
• Automation experience with Python/SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly/annual presentations and reports for senior management.
• Maintain data reporting standards across Markets, Investment Banking and Corporate functions.
• Develop budget vs actual variance reports to support decision-making.
• Enhance reporting and budgeting processes and respond to head-office requests.
• Collaborate with Finance leads across back and front office on trends in revenues and KPIs.
• Monitor monthly allocations and inter-entity reconciliations.
• Support cross-functional projects like revenue forecasting and productivity initiatives.
