Columbus McKinnon is seeking an FP&A Analyst in Charlotte, NC to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will help prepare dashboards, analyze performance, and automate recurring analyses while engaging with senior leadership across a global organization.

The role emphasizes data analysis, month-end/quarter-end close, and executive-ready presentations, offering exposure to cross-functional teams and the financial drivers of the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics or related field.
• 0-2+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, accounting, budgeting, consulting, or relevant internship/co-op experience.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or financial reporting through internships, coursework, or early career experience.
• Experience or familiarity with Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI) or AI tools (Copilot) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, dashboards, and management reporting packages for corporate and business leadership.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes, improve data integrity, and streamline recurring financial analyses.
• Assist in developing, compiling, and analyzing the annual financial budget, monthly forecasts, and annual strategic business plan.
• Analyze current and past trends in KPIs including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, working capital, and capital expenditures.
• Monitor KPIs, highlight trends, and analyze causes of variance.
• Respond to ad hoc financial analysis requests from FP&A leadership and partners, providing timely insights.
• Participate in month-end and quarter-end close activities and prepare management commentary.
• Assist in executive-level presentations, including operating reviews, forecast updates, and Board materials.
• Perform other FP&A duties to gain broad exposure to the function.
